BUMBPERS & FENDER FLARES
Bumpers and fender flares can provide stability and functionality for a vehicle as well as define its style.
Front and rear truck bumpers are sold separately as they provide very different functions. Replacement front bumpers are installed most often for protection during off-road excursions or for winching purposes. Durable pipe front bumpers deflect road and debris far better than the stock model. Winch rigs are also usually pipe or steel and allow for lifting large loads. Many come with concealed rigs to divert thieves.
Rear bumpers offer stability and style. Ranging from semi-gloss to chrome to black “powered,” rear bumper steps make a truck bed much more accessible. Most install easily and come ready to receive a tow ball.
For a new bumper look without the new bumper price, bumper covers come in hundreds of motifs or in custom designs. Bras, hood covers, and valances (which require paint) are also good products for aesthetic personalization.
Other bumper accessories include bumper grills, diffusers, and guards.
Fender flares provide the same protection to the truck tires that bumpers offer to a front end. For especially large or off-road tires, fender flares and trim allow great maneuvering room and great debris protection. They come in several styles including low-profile, pocket-style, or custom paint to name a few, depending on the personality of the wheel package and truck itself. And if style is the priority instead of wheel extension, choose chrome or steel fender trim for a dazzling sparkle. |
